The Role of Possibilities, Probabilities and Certainties in Divination
Peering into the future to help answer questions you may have regarding issues in your life, is an intriguing yet mystifying prospect for many people. However,taking the step to consult an oracle can be an excellent method to gain insight and an expanded awareness of where your life may be headed.
There are many methods available to us. Tarot, the Runes and the I Ching are examples of some of the most popular ones. Each of these techniques has evolved through a long cultural tradition with its own unique perspective. These methods can be used independently or by consulting someone who, with knowledge and experience, can facilitate and channel the information for you.
Divination is a method of opening a direct line of communication between your higher self and facilitating guides. The information gained at a session is usually very stimulating and meaningful for the recipient. However, it is not uncommon to reflect back on a reading weeks or months later and note that some of the aspects of it did not manifest as originally presented. This can be true even in the most effective, well-timed and well guided of readings.
Many forces and influences come into play when entering into the ‘yet to be manifested’ time. I believe a useful technique to help understand these discrepancies is to divide future time into three categories: possibilities, probabilities and certainties.
It is important to recognize that the future is a highly fluid state. It is subject to many influences . Some of these are coming from your internal workings and others are from external forces. These forces too, may have their own destiny and are largely out of your direct control.
POSSIBILITIES
This is the first , most common and most fluid category. These pathways can be described as a thread of soul-self spinning into the formulating future as a kind of exploration of options available. At the very least, they approximate components of your life path intentions are mixed with lessons needed. This creates a type of story line portal that you can then, and through which you can get to know yourself better.
Possible pathways are present in the early stages of creative development. They are very flexible,subject to change and not yet ,as of yet, been infused with catalyzing forces such as desire or commitment.
So then the question arises, why is it helpful to be shown these soul-thread creations if they may never manifest? First, they do bring relevant information to conscious light that was not apparent prior to the reading. Second, they provide a window into the soul-self, a kind of bonding connectedness to your own life force,which is validating and can be used effectively as a guidance tool.
A possibility pathway will go on to become a probability pathway when a threshold is reached with activation forces such as desire, will power and sustained focus; not to mention, a relative absence of fear-based self screening. If the projected possibility pathway has negative outcomes, this provides the opportunity to review and correct behaviors and attitudes that have contributed to the situation.
So rather than looking on possibilities as just adding confusion to the question at hand, they are actually quite valuable tools to further clarify what truly matters to you. Importantly, relevant components of a possibility pathway that does not manifest, will be recycled by the higher self and show up again in another format one that may very well be a better fit and better timed.
PROBABILITIES
When much time, energy and intention has been directed to a particular pathway at a certain point a possibility pathway transforms into a probability pathway. This happens by virtue of the density of energies manifesting around it due to sustained focus, intention and desire whether it is conscious or unconscious.
Probability pathways are still subject to external forces influencing their outcome. They are also subject to free-will changes ( yours as well as other people who may be involved ) They are also subject to the possibility of fear- based attitudes blocking their manifestation. Time is a factor as well. Probability pathways are more likely to exist in the near future than in the distant future because so many of the components are likely to be in place already.
CERTAINTIES
The final and least common category is the certainty pathway. As the term implies, this direction is already set. This pathway can be subdivided into two types.
The first type has to do with karma and soul-contracts. These are based in agreements and intentions already put into place at higher levels of being and are inherently related to what your life journey is about, that is, what you came here to experience. They are presided over by the over soul and are outside of a person’s direct control. This is not a common experience and it varies considerably from person to person as to its frequency. Details may be alterable but only within a range of certain possibilities.
It is important to note here, that although we are blessed with free will to make choices in life,free-will always exists within a range of possibilities. Choices available to an individual are always shaped by such factors as sex, age, where you live etc. There is also the range of possibilities as designated by your life pattern/ blue print, that is, what departments of life will always be your major ares of focus. An astrological birth chart is useful here t help point out what major themes are set in your life pattern.
The second type of certainty pathway is less karmic in nature and it is a direct result of choices and attitudes that have already played out in your life. It is comprised of an alignment between the soul self and the sub-conscious self to manifest a type of experience that is a lesson for the highest. Although the conscious self may not be aware of the impending lesson pathway, there may very well be premonitions, dreams or ‘gut feelings’ that shed some light –warning from the subconscious – of the impending experiences.
In summary, I believe it is helpful to divide the future time into three categories when seeking information through divination channeling. Each category is distinct in of itself and has its own unique value to the seeker.
Possibilities are the earliest threads of a story line that could manifest if there is enough incentive and purpose. They are the most common and the most changeable. Probability pathways are stronger, more developed and have at least some infusion of catalyzing energies such as drive or desire. They exist most often in near future. Finally, the certainty pathway is the most formulated, least common and is destined to take place. Only details and timing may still have some flexibility.
Delving into your future can provide helpful information on where your current perspective on an issue may lead you. I believe that it is an excellent empowerment tool and when properly approached, its increases your self-awareness effectively. In turn, you are better able to discern what is of most importance to you without necessarily having to ‘live it’.
